Sharing Mindfulness with Very Young Children with a Parent or Caregiver

Click on above "Enroll" button to begin your course!

This class is designed for anyone interested in working with very young children – children who are 2 or 3 years old.  While designed for a class in which a parent or caregiver attends along with the child, a classroom teacher working in a more traditional setting or even a parent might find it useful as well.  The class will address the differing developmental needs of this age group, and offer suggestions on how mindfulness practices can be adapted to meet their needs.  Ten Lesson Plans and a number of Resource Materials will be offered as well.

Long-time early childhood educator and certified Creative Mindfulness for Kids practitioner and trainer, Julie Oudin, MSW, will be your instructor for this class.  Louise has invited Julie to be a part of her International Trainers Group with the intention of bringing these beautiful teachings to America.  With over 30 years of experience working in the field of early childhood, Julie has found this age group to be her favorite, and has worked as a classroom teacher for 2-year-olds, parenting group facilitator, consultant, and preschool director.  Currently, Julie is teaching a class called “Playing Attention”, a mindfulness class for 2-3 year old children who attend with a caregiver at The Woodlands Children’s Museum in Texas.  Julie feels teaching mindfulness to young children is the culmination of her life’s work, and she is beyond delighted to share it with you.
